The text constructed a version of reality where social media is everything. The society will judge you based on your likes and ratings and even how you look.

There is a saying "fake it ti'll you make it". Based on the text people are faking their emotions just to get what they want.

- What does the term nosedive mean? How do you see this in the story?
Nosedive means a sudden drop. I've seen the term nosedive when Lacie has a high ranking of 4.2 and through out the story her ranking dropped at a constant speed until it reaches a low rank of 0.
