Investigating the Laws of Reflection

Today in Science we did a practical about lights and reflections.

Aim: To investigate how the light behaves when it hits a plane (flat) mirror

Method:

1. Collect a ray of box, power supply, and single-slit ray slide from your teacher, and set them up to reduce a single beam of light.

2. Place a plane mirror on the diagram of the protractor as described below.

3. Vary the angle of incidence and record the angle of reflection in the results of the table.

Results:

0 degrees = 0 degrees
10 degrees= 10 degrees
20 degrees= 20 degrees
30 degrees= 30 degrees
40 degrees= 40 degrees
50 degrees= 50 degrees
60 degrees= 60 degrees
70 degrees= 70 degrees
80 degrees= 80 degrees




The angle of reflection was the same as the angle of incidence because the mirror is flat

Distillation of Coke

Aim: Our aim is to remove the sugar from the coke

 Materials: Boiling tube, Test tube, Beaker, Bunsen Burner, Ice, Water, Clamp stand, coke, and a triangular tube


Method:

1.Get the materials first
2.Connet the bunsen burner to the gas
3.Clamp the boiling tube at the stand 
4.put the coke inside the boiling tube and close it by the rubber plug
5.Connect the triangular tube to the test tube 
6.Put some ice and water on the beaker and put the test tube in the middle of the beaker
7.now turn on the gas and the bunsen burner 
8. then point the bunsen burner on the boiling tube and start boiling.

Dilution series

In Science, we have been experimenting with dilution.
the substance that we have used is called potassium permanganate.
every solution we lesser a milliliter each



Dilution Series

Materials we used are test tubes, beaker, test tube rack, pippete stirring rod and measuring cylinder.

Aim: My aim is to dilute the substance into a clear water.

Result: the result was amazing it diluted as we plan. it diluted 1ml each test tube.

Science Experiment (Filtering Water)

 Lo - Design and carry out an experiment

My Aim is to make dirty water clean and drinkable

Equipment-cotton ball, paper towel, cloth, string, bottle and some dirty water



Method/Designs-  Our design is to layer the cotton balls and the paper towels by alternating it.
 1.Get a water bottle cut the bottom of the bottle









3.Get a cloth and cut it in half











4.Put the cotton ball in the water bottle
5.then put a piece of paper towel

6.Put the cotton ball again alternating them until half of your bottle is full.













7.then pour the dirty water to the device.












8.then wait until the water is clean.



















Conclusions/Observations- are design actually did work first try.We could have our filtering device to be faster to filter so that we don't die of thirst in the wilderness.
