HomeEC


In Home Economics in short (HomeEC) I have been learning about food label and food labeling. Food labels are usually at the back of the food product food labels helps you to take a look whats inside the food box that your gonna buy at the market. 

Food labels are consist of the nutrition facts, calories, total fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, protein, and vitamins that are in the food.

This is the label for the ANZAC Cookie/biscuits.

Food Poisoning

1 What is a Bacteria?
a member of a large group of unicellular microorganisms which have cell walls but lack organelles and an organized nucleus, including some which can cause disease.

2.What do bacteria need to survive?
The food product itself supplies the food and water needed for bacterial growth. Most seafood products provide an abundance of food and water for growth.

3.Give 3 example of how we avoid spreading bacteria?

Don't re-freeze the meet 
Wash your hands
Clean the kitchen regularly

4.What does Cross Contamination mean and what is it effect on you?
the process by which bacteria or other microorganisms are unintentionally transferred from one substance or object to another, with harmful effect.



Review of Practical of bread cases

*Knife safety:Pointy end down, walking + being sensible
*Wash cloths/spray wipe
*Food scrap containers
*Recycling/Rubbish
*Leave water/Cloths till finished cooking

What could my team do better next time? At least two examples.
Use the proper cloth to clean the table
Wash the dishes thoroughly
