In art, our art teacher has asked us to answer a series of questions to help us plan our next steps for panel 2 for our folio board.

 How many series of works are you planning?

I am planning to do 2 series of works. Billboard design and tag price.

What can you tell me about how they extend upon your kaupapa?

By doing billboard and tag price it will advertise the company I have chosen much better. It will also help me come up with more flexible and interesting ideas when designing. 

How?

It will make my designs more appealing and advertise my chosen company better.

What links can you tell me you are making to your artist model

In my designs and the artist model that I have chosen, the similarities are the geometric shapes I have implemented in my designs. I have arranged them in a way that will enhance and create an interesting look.

what are your next steps?

My next step currently is to finally finish my folio board panel 1.

Ship of Theseus thought experiment

 1. What is it?

The ship of Theseus is a philosophical puzzle that asks the question of whether if the Ship of Theseus is still the same after some changes on wood or its components. The question asks if the Ship of Theseus changed its materials for example the wood that it was made by or the oars, is it still the Ship of Theseus.

2. What do you think the answer is?

Scenario 1. 

This is when the Ship of Theseus replaces its part piece by piece over time, is it still the Ship of Theseus?

Scenario 2.

This is when the parts of the Ship of Theseus are made into a new ship, is it still the Ship of Theseus

Scenario 3.

This is when a part of the Ship of Theseus gets removed or lose, is it still the Ship of Theseus?

With these three different scenarios, I believe yes it is still the same ship. In the first scenario even if the ship replaces its part it still the same ship. Think about it, your body changes its cells everyday are you still the same person?

Subject matter vs Kaupapa

Mood Board

This year for my subject matter I have chosen cityscape/urban. I picked cityscape/urban because I find it very interesting. The artist model I have picked Josef Muller--Brockman, Jonathan Barnbrook, Joseph Chrurchward. I picked these three artist model because, by looking at there works I find them interesting and inspiring. 

For my corporate I am planning to do a clothing brand or a music company. 

For my corporate I think will do a clothing brand for men. I will be naming it Phoenix
