Chromatography-using chemicals to extract pigments

Aim: to extract pigments on the leaves of the trees

Today we did an experiment that uses leaves and pigments.

Equipment:

Boiling tube, Test tube, Pippete, Filter paper, splint, samples, and Ethanol

Method:
1. Get all the materials needed.
2.Put Ethanol in 1 boiling tube
3.put the sample in a test tube
4.Get the pippete and put some ethanol on the other boiling tube
5.Get a filter paper and some splint make a crossed shape that holds the paper so that it won't go to the bottom of the boiling tube
6.mark the filter paper with a pencil about 2 inches
7.Get a pippete and drop some samples on the filter marked filter paper
8.then wait for the pigment to get scattered.

Aim: Our aim is to recreate the experiment using felt pens because it has more concentrated pigments.

Today we recreated our last experiment using felt pens instead of leaves because the pens got more concentrated liquid than the ground leaves

Why the colors are separating?

Because each color have different sizes of particles

Distillation of Coke

Aim: Our aim is to remove the sugar from the coke

 Materials: Boiling tube, Test tube, Beaker, Bunsen Burner, Ice, Water, Clamp stand, coke, and a triangular tube


Method:

1.Get the materials first
2.Connet the bunsen burner to the gas
3.Clamp the boiling tube at the stand 
4.put the coke inside the boiling tube and close it by the rubber plug
5.Connect the triangular tube to the test tube 
6.Put some ice and water on the beaker and put the test tube in the middle of the beaker
7.now turn on the gas and the bunsen burner 
8. then point the bunsen burner on the boiling tube and start boiling.

Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1970 rock musical. The story is loosely based on the Gospels account of last weeks Jesus's life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending it with the crucifixion.

The story centers on Elphaba, the misunderstood, smart, and fiery girl of emerald-green skin who grows up to become the notorious WickedWitch of the West and Galinda, the beautiful, blonde, popular girl who grows up to become Glinda the Good Witch of the South.

In Science, we have been experimenting with dilution.

the substance that we have used is called potassium permanganate.

every solution we lesser a milliliter each

Dilution Series

Materials we used are test tubes, beaker, test tube rack, pippete stirring rod and measuring cylinder.

Aim: My aim is to dilute the substance into a clear water.

Result: the result was amazing it diluted as we plan. it diluted 1ml each test tube.
