Start writing the name out in lower case and uppercase. This is important because it will help you take a better look at what you're working with. Gets you to feel for what you are making a logo for.
Try and incorporate things and objects that relate to the company or thing that you are designing for. This helps you think and create a unique logo for the corporate
Choose the best colour palette that you think suits and relates to the logo you are making.
Start writing some notes about what the company is about. What is the corporate about? what do they do? do? who is their target audience? what are they selling to people?
Get as many ideas as you can and don't think too hard about it. This will help you pick and think about the best designs for the corporate you are doing.
Get some inspiration from something, take a look at different logos some old logos and take inspiration from it.
