In Tech we have been making a 3 piece puzzle. Making this puzzle includes planning, researching, and drawing
1.Planning/Research:
Our teacher showed us a video of how to make the puzzle. Before we start making it first we need a plan and to research.
2.Paper plans:

3. Transferring
I first I copied the template showed then I copied it into my piece of wood and then I marked the pieces that were needed to be cut
4. How did you make it?
1. We first searched the image of the puzzle so that we know how it looks like
2. We then draw the template on paper
3. We then transferred the template to the piece of wood
4. And then I cut off the unwanted pieces to the puzzle
5. I then made sure that my puzzle works and fits through the holes
6. I then sanded the pieces to make it smooth
7. I then coated the pieces with polyurethane so it doesn't wear off easily and then I'm done

Problem Solving
LO: Communicate what you have learnt and how you will apply what you know to the Year 9 Business Kete...
What did you learn about?
I learned how to manage problems and how to find ways to solve the problem. I also learned how to manage your temper and how to keep calm while the problem is occurring
When discussing "thought Challenges" what did you notice about yourself?
I notice that I started to fix the problem while in an assertive mode not by aggressive
What solutions can you try when you face a challenge during the Business & Enterprise Kete? Give an example.
During the Business & Enterprise kete, I will solve the problem by talking passively and calmly cause they would get angry if I yell at them. And I will tell them to calm and start to think of some solutions to solve our problem.

Who Moved my Cheese
What did you learn about?
I learned about the video called " Who Moved My Cheese" and we learned that the meaning of resilience is never giving up.
Quote: Tough times don't last; tough people do
Was there anything difficult for you to understand?
No, there is nothing hard to understand
How did you relate to the video "Who moved my cheese?
In the video, there is a person who doesn't want to get out of his comfort zone meaning he doesn't want to try new things. It teaches me that, In life, in order to gain more knowledge or gain more experience we need to get out of our comfort zone and try new things.
How will you apply your new knowledge to the business KETE?
If the plan doesn't work, make it work by solving it trying new possible ways to fix your mistake.

Refraction (Investigating Refraction - Bending Light)
Aim: To investigate how light is affected by changing the substance it is traveling through.
Equipment: Ray box, power source, glass or perspex block, single-slit ray slide.
Method:
1. Collect the equipment from your teacher, and set them up to produce a single beam of light.
2. Place the glass block in the shaded area below.
3.PLace your box at the top of the page and shine the beam so it travels along 10 degrees line to the center of the protractor ( this is your angle of incidence)
4. Read the angle the light leaves the glass block at ( this is your angle of refraction)
5. Continue the investigation so you can complete the table opposite
Results:
10 degrees - 6.6 degrees
20 degrees - 13.2 degrees
30 degrees - 14.5 degrees
40 degrees - 25.4 degrees
Refraction Occurs because light changes speed and direction when it moves from one medium to another
Medium is the word used by scientist to describe a substance that light will travel through. A medium can be a solid or a gas.
